He helped in the home
Reports from A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) describe him occupied with household work until the time of prayer. Domestic help was not beneath the leader of the ummah.
He listened
He consulted his wives, took their counsel seriously, and acted on it in matters of consequence.
He was affectionate, openly
Kindness in speech, small gestures, using an affectionate name — none of this was considered weakness.
